Dear kind, anonymous woman who works in Global Corporate Center too,

We just passed one another entering/exiting the restroom (and site of many a WWJW photoshoot).  Exchanging a curteous smile may not seem like much, but for me it contains the deep gratitude I have for you, for the time I left my ring at the sink and you safely returned it to me.  In fact, you went above and beyond the call of duty by leaving a memo on the mirror notifying its “loser” — double entendre intended — to come to your suite and identify it.  Although the day I retrieved my ring I gushed to you a cornucopia of thanks, I still feel indebted to your integrity.  And thus I pen this note, which you will probably never read.

With sincere thanks,

If anyone else has a story about losing something and a stranger’s kindness aiding its return, please leave a comment!

  1. Heyyyy, sweet belt. Almost as sweet as the cashier at Whole Foods who chased me down because I paid with a $20 and left after getting change for a $10. Saved me $10 AAAAAAAND was really nice about it.

    • You got the belt at Whole Foods?! So you and Andre 3K had the same experience there???
